TOP 10 Face Moisturizers 🇨🇦

Finding the right face moisturizer depends on several factors, from your skin type and its needs to the texture you prefer. With so many options available, however, it can be difficult to know which one to choose.

Some formulas contain mineral oils derived from petroleum, controversial preservatives, or allergenic fragrance ingredients. Since moisturizer is often used every day and applied directly to the face, its ingredient list is worth a closer look.

To make choosing easier, we’ve selected 10 of the best-rated face moisturizers on Yuka.

I was hoping to find a moisturizer with UV protection. Do you have any recommendations? I’ve tried Avene, however, there is a smell that bothers me. I normally use La Roche. I am open to other suggestions.

Just yesterday, a friend offered me a shampoo and conditioner set that she couldn’t use as the scent was too strong. The label read really well but your app rated each at 0/100! We were both shocked! I have introduced many friends to this now. I do have to tell you that people watch me in the store while using the app – I wonder if they think I’m a “secret shopper”? The only problem I find is that your suggestions for good alternatives are not always available.

I love your app! It is so difficult to decipher ingredients on your own. I use it all the time and recommend it to everyone. It is impressive how many people already know about it. However, I sometimes find it overwhelming to shop using the app especially when buying groceries lol.

I use Marcelle Day moisturizer for my eyes and their night moisturizer for my face.
    They are both rated excellent.
I previously tried an eye moisturizer that was hypoallergenic and it irritated my eyes.
I use Yuka on many products and foods

Wow, love them all, use my Yuka all the time and have passed it on to friends and strangers at a store asking what and why I’m checking out certain items as shopping. I just informed them that it’s a Yuka App and it helps to tell you of what you’re gonna purchase is good or bad also, the app is free. I show them my app and before I it they are downloading the app as well. Thanks for all the great great information I get when I use your app..

I agree with the comments about Rocky Mountain Soap Company; they definitely score high on Yuka. I went on the SelfCare Nation website and it says, “Our products are developed in Canada / Imported from China, Thailand, Turkey, Korea and some produced in Canada” so I wouldn’t really consider that a Canadian company. 🙂

Thanks for this. I would like to know if something is cruelty free as well. Although I do look things up to make sure that they are cruelty free, it would be nice to have that information in the same place. Does anyone not buy cruelty free anymore?

Nice to see so many Canadian brands listed. I would hope that Yuka would refrain from endorsing products that aren’t cruelty-free, such as Vanicream. There is no reason to test facial moisturizers or any other cosmetic skin care products on animals.

Marcelle has face creams for over 50+ and night cream. I use both of them and love them. I use the day cream for my eyes and the night cream for my face since it has hydraulic acid, fragrance free and helps keep my face looking younger.I buy them both at Jean Coutu drugstore and they’re both great and not expensive

Wow so informative…thank you for your excellent research. As an ex dermatology representative I truly appreciate your hard work. My own research/experience has shown that Tanit – mineral based (physical block sunscreen) would be something your clients appreciate. No white cast. Smooth and clean. I am in the mist of researching a Vitamin C serum that has excellent benefits/ results without an exorbitant cost. Again thank you.

    This is a wonderful email/video.
A video for body moisturizers and sunscreen for the face and facial cleanser that are Yuka approved would be great.
I have been using a facial cleanser that come highly rated in big Pharma standards, but falls very short by Yuka standards. I really liked the the SPF for the face so much that I ignored Yuka! Biggest mistake ever. I developed redness and itchiness on my eyelids from the sunscreen and facial cleanser (La Roche possy- lipikar sunset AP+).
So now I’m looking g for a facial sunscreen (I had some precancerous spots removed from my nose) and cleanser. I truly love the Yuka app. Both my daughters use it faithfully in the grocery store and drug store. I pass your app o to anyone who wants to use clean products.
Thank you so much for being there for us all!!!

The above brands for face moisturizing look awesome and so natural without all the bad additives most products have. I have been sending your company to others and they are thankful and amazed to find what is put into our food and products. The children and grandchildren are going to have a lot of health issues as time goes by. I would still be cautious even tho at the age I am but better to continue with good health.
