Hi Pranjali, just a word to defend YUKA. I believe they have a very high degree of integrity. Their ratings are specifically given and always reflect the label we could read ourselves. Fairly rating a product or products from a company such as Trader Joe’s or Sam’s Club as high is not the same as promoting the company. We all know that any company could have both good and bad products. Always check every product from every company. Also, YUKA is new to the USA, which means that YUKA will now rate products that they didn’t rate in Europe, which may also explain why you’ll see products from TJ’s or SC rated now when they weren’t before. I hope this is helpful.

I love this app more than you know. Just one problem I have is Bioengineered Ingredients. I see this especially on Progresso soups. I become confused how it ranks a good rating in it. I still won’t stop loving this app.

I see comments about sodium. Remember everyone, without adequate sodium levels, you can’t have strong stomach acid in order to properly digest your food.

Personally, I would put Epicure Nourish Broth on the top of my list. It is gluten free, fat free, and very low sodium. As well, it is an excellent source of Vitamin B12 and contains 8 essential nutrients. It’s also in a power forms so it has a long shelf life. My go to for broths.

All but one Progresso soup is made with bioengineered ingredients. This one is. Always read the label, even when recommended by Yuka. I do love the app but it’s not fail-proof!

I love the Yuka app and use it a lot for food and toiletries but for soup not so much because of the sodium. My husband has high blood pressure. My husband just made a delicious Mexican Tortilla soup with fresh vegetables.
I wish you could put more restrictions in the search. Wish it was more strict with some hazardous ingredients

I work at a CooP. During my work day, I can products just for the heck of it. I’ve scanned hundreds and hundreds. Sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised, sometimes I’m surprised that something I thought was healthy, isn’t that healthy. I’m Vegan, Plant Based for 22 years so the above list of Soups is wonderful news.
Ps ~ if a product that has animals as protein in it is fairly good for you, you then have to use your brain 🧠 and remember that all meat, flesh has microscopic bits of poop in it, and that if Factory Farmed which 97 percent of our food comes from it has antibiotics and growth hormones in the ingredients which Yuka doesn’t account for.
Can you add that to your list of restrictions in the “paid version”?

I disagree that the Italian Style Bean & Pasta Soup – Progresso is a healthier soup at 670mg of sodium. That 29% of sodium is way too much.

Some times I scanned a product and said excellent like the shampoos and when I scanned the conditioner from the same brand the same name as well, the result is no good why is this happening
My best guess is it has to do with the ingredients. I also wondered about why the company would do that. There were times I had returned one of the two or purchased only the good shampoo or conditioner. What I love about the app is that the rating for each product is evidence based to which they provide the scientific research link.
I’ve experienced the same, it’s Because they have different ingredients additives.
I scanned over 20 last year at cvs to much my surprise. Dint give up, just scan the brands other conditioners some don’t match, but the conditioners with less or no fragrance because they are higher scores because they are less toxic.
