Hi, thank you fot this information, appreciate it.
Marie
Fantastic
I’m so happy that your post is related to food. It’s good to know what we are really eating.
Yuka is a fabulous app, I don’t buy any cosmetics for me, family or friends without scanning it on the app first.
Thank you
Thankyou for above , it can be so confusing which brand to buy
Rude Health Ultimate Granola also scores 90/100. For me it’s best as no dried fruit to compete with the fresh fruit I add.
Very good so hopefully
What about Alara everyday organic muesli that scores 100%
Fantastic, very helpful.thank you.
Thanks for the info 👍
It’s so easy to pick up what you think is a healthy cereal and then find out it full of sugar
Great info. Thanks. Similar on other foods would be great.
How about finding some ORGANIC alternatives. Much more healthier!
Brilliant so helpful thank you
Thanks very helpful to know, I will definitely go for one of these cereals.
What a great idea to cover breakfast cereals makes it so much easier to decide what to start the day with, many thanks for your work in this field it’s much appreciated x
Thank you for doing the hard work it’s very much appreciated, most packages are so clever at making you think they are clean & healthy when they are bad
Thanks – very useful
I love it you should do with many more priduct. Which people constantly use do shopping. This should be automatically put in app.
Excellent
Thank you for the information. My favourite is MORNFLAKE Mighty Oats which you score at 90/100
Thank you for information I definitely try some Thanks 🙂
Thank you for that especially the information as to whether suitable for vegans
This is interesting and helpful. Please can you advise which are gluten-free?
Thanks for the suggestions. I can’t wait to try some, especially the nut ones.
Which supermarket stoke these cereals
Thank you for information!!
Thanks very informative as a lot of these items have huge amounts of sugar
Thank you, very informative !
Thank you for compiling this link. Although helpful, I can only eat 2 of them due to the addition of nuts. I believe I can only have 2 of the selection nut.
Thanks Yuka, the top three recommendations are the ones I buy.
I appreciate Yuka’s recommendations for products but I also consider the importance of sugar content in foods! This helps me to make my decision when choosing products.
I was astonished to see all the quantity ofsuch good varieties. It has made it easier. Thank you
Thank you for your information. It is reassuring to be able to check the food we are eating .
Very helpful. I shall be shopping for these
My daughter is a celiac could you suggest a good granola – she is medically a celiac Do you ever do an article on gluten free
Which one’s are Gluten Free
Unfortunately all the ones I could eat are very high in calories. The rest contain wheat which I can’t have. Worth knowing, thank you.
Thank you so much for this. Helpful info. It would be great to know about healthy granola choices too. Love the app. Its changed my food and drink choices for me and my family!
That’s great to know, I have on my list now and a new thing to eat!
Thank you!
Thanks for all the work you do. The app makes shopping a whole new experience.
Thank very much excellent 👌
Wish I had this app years ago. It saves so much time looking out for the ingredients in a product.
It is informative, easy to navigate and covers so many items! Brilliant when I am in USA!
Thank you
I agree with Anne I love the app and have completely changed what I snack on. No more sweets and particularly American sweets as they are pretty much poison! Thanks
Excellent information and I’m finding your yuka app brilliant.
Since using your app I have changed a lot of what I eat and I also think tge food products in our stores should use the traffic light system to show what additives are in the Food in stores.
What about Alara Organic Fruits and Seeds Muesli (100/100 on your app)?
I make my own muesli and granola but it’s good to know there are healthy options out there when needed
Add to that Alara Organic Fruits & Seeds Muesli . Yuka scores this muesli ‘ Excellent 100/100’. !
I was converted to muesli by this one.
I buy mine from Sainsbury’s or Ocado ,,,,Alara an absolutely great range of mueslis and oats.
So useful, thank you very much
Thanks Julie, amazing work, as usual!
Do any of these have organic oats? If not, aren’t they likely to be a source of glyphosate and other chemicals from Roundup-type sprays?
Thanks for the info. I’ve avoided those sort of cereals due to the amount of sugar etc. Very useful you do a great job.
Really helpful because I eat this stuff regularly.
So so very helpful to know that these are all good for you with no sugars or artificial rubbish
Most appreciated
Thanks for the useful information. I regularly buy the Alpen and the M&S brain food. However it is useful to see the alternatives that are a healthy option. I use your app all the time .
Great idea vary breakfast for healthy. Thank you.
Fabulous thank you so much this helps a lot
Sugar content needs to be taken into account
Thank you for the great work
You have help me so much
A very useful guide but I would draw attention to Tesco’s Swiss Style Muesli that you say has no added sugar. It does have added sugar in the form of honey. Many manufacturers use honey as a way to sweeten their products and this can fool consumers into thinking it’s a healthier way to eat. But sugar is sugar no matter how it is consumed.
I love this app and use it every time I go to buy something I haven’t tried before. I don’t buy anything that scores bad or poor. Much power to you
This is a brilliant app and a real help towards a healthy lifestyle. Thank you so much.
Thanks you
I use Lizi and it’s absolutely delicious. For me there’s no price when it comes to supporting your good health. I use to think that buying fresh vegetables & fruit was expensive but now it’s what I tend to do. A bag of carrots is tge same as a large Mars bar etc. Additionally, a bag of Lizi granola is not that more expensive than a large Mars etc. For me tge above granola are a better alternative to Mars bars etc which I use to consume daily. Hoorah for healthy alternatives.
I appreciate that it’s specifically your top ten, but they’re all relatively expensive and there’s just one supermarket own brand. I would be interested in your view of the cheaper brands, primarily own brands from other supermarkets. I sometimes eat Lidl muesli, for example.
Tesco and Aldi are in there 🙂
Harvest Morn is Aldi
Harvest Morn also Home Bargains. Doesn’t come much cheaper than that.
The Super Deluxe Berry Granola is from LiDL. I am surprised they have not mentioned about the Super Deluxe Nutty Granola
Ver informative love the app. Great list of granolas thank you.
I thought granola is very high in phosphates
Thankyou..love the App!!!
Thank you for your informative list of granola and muesli, sadly I can’t eat any of them. I’m under the care of an NHS Gastro Enterology Consultant and an NHS Dietitian who are trying to solve my problem. At the moment I am on the FODMAP diet.
None of them gluten free for people with celiac disease.
It’s very difficult to find healthy food in supermarkets. I always look for the traffic light system green good amber poor and red very bad it’s a shame all supermarkets can’t go health and make it easier for people to find healthy food.
Really helpful information, thank you 🙏
Thanks so much for all your helpful advice. We’re already eating a few of these but will be nice to add a few new granola and musli to our breakfast.
Thanks.. I’ll give them all try out…
Jolly good. I have been eating Jordan’s Natural Muesli for years. It is a bit dull though and very dusty at the end of the packet so I do mix with Sainsbury’s no added sugar fruit muesli
Very helpful information. Thank you!
Thanks for the information. 🙏🏻
Nice selection, I have Alpen no added sugar. I also like Waitrose essentials, really nutty, and Asda organic granola. Have you tried these?
Hi, I don’t see Turtle better breakfast granola and mueslis in the list.
All the meusli’s/porridges from turtle are 100/100 it’s a same it’s not in the list.
Thank you for all the work you do in helping me to eat healthy 🤗
The Deluxe granola is NOT made by Deluxe. It is the deluxe range of granola made by Lidl! Give credit where it is due. And you only had to read the label!
What about Paleo granola? It doesn’t even contain oats! Grain free & no refined sugar. Only a few natural ingredients. It’s awesome 🤩 utterly delicious! I’d never touch most of these on your list, too processed.
Thank you for the info , your input is really valuable.
I eat M&S oats because of the low sugar and salt, these 10 foods have a bit too much sugar for me.
What about Alara organic muesli? I’m surprised it’s not on here
Thankyou thats very useful to know.
Thank you for all the information you supply, Best app
Great info, thank you so much.
Is there a morning cereal that contains more fibre than “all bran”. It’s boring and tasteless but it helps me.
Fantastic Julie love this information but I do not eat these as they are calorific but I make all my choices with your app, love it!!
Good job again yuka you’re certainly making us aware on what’s best to have and what to avoid .
Thank you,
love this app, it’s an eye opener!!
It certainly is. You should try it on face creams. You’ll be astounded, especially the jars at £30 +.
Brilliant info thanks
Thanks for the heads up.
Amazing! Can you also do a rating on taste compared to ‘good for you’ rating?
Fabulous, finally look forward to breakfast!
Brilliant, thanks 👍🏼😊
I use a variety of goods from this list – I would have loved it if you had included the sugar/salt/Sat fat on each for comparison please ( you just added the sugar for Lizzies?)
Thanks for all you do
I’m getting fed up with porridge in the mornings and have been thinking of changing to granola so thank you for doing my homework for me. Very useful information
Thank you. That’s really helpful information.
You don’t mention sugar content which is quite high in many of your top 10.
Not all of these are as healthy as you think. They are highly processed particularly the bigger brands, and on other healthy eating sites only some score well, none score 90/100. You really are better off making your own, it’s not difficult and you know exactly what’s in it.
Alot of the grains used will have high traces of pestices too Ib should imagine?
Yuka best app ever! So informative, helps me live a healthy life with the knowledge of products that are good to eat! Thank you!
Great see, so helpful when shopping 👍
It’s really helpful to know all these are excellent
Hi Julie, thank you for the information I am grateful. I do prefer gluten-free cereal with Less or no sugar. My blood was was very high so I am cutting it out.
Thanks for this, Julia! Super helpful. Can you recommend any granolas that are grain-free? Many in my community are low-starch & sugar. Something based around nuts & seeds would be ideal. Thanks again!
Thanks . Good to know Tesco’s won brand & Alpen ( which is what my husband enjoys ) came out highly scored .
Brilliant work which is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you, I love having the guidance of this app.
This is really helpful. It confirms some brands I am already buying but lets me know about some others which I will try knowing they meet the same high standards – with no added sugars. Many thanks.
Lidl’s classic granola also scored 90/100 and is by far the cheapest of the bunch
The very presence of treacle and berries makes the sugar content too high
This is great information. I think the Jordan’s is available here in France, but the other brands generally not. Have you a carried out a French products version? That would be great for us! 🙂
Don’t most of these contain seed/palm oils?
I just make my own overnight oats so easy and natural
Very helpful indeed! I do buy Alpen muesli but this has given me more to try and price comparison will be useful. Thank you.
Excellent.. I live on sugar free alpen, glad to know it’s not killing me!! 🤪
How can you rate as excellent anything baked in black treacle? Sugars are worst thing for one so any granola with honey or treacle can’t be that healthy
Very Halpful
Very useful, thank you. Could you do this for other products? Such as moisturisers, shampoo etc
Great info , thanks.
I’m going to try the Jordans natural muesli
Thank you, that’s really helpful.
When I purchased my Lizis nuts and seeds yesterday I was given a score of 78 not 90
Very useful, thanks
Really helpful thanks
Thank you. All information is so helpful x
Really helpful. Thank you
That’s great to know now I don’t need to scan. Cheers
Thank you for this Information Julie. Very helpful . I think my local shops are now getting used to me scanning everything before I buy with your App. Keep up the good work👌
Is the milk that we eat it with any good? That is pasteurized milk.?
Very helpful information, thank you
Hi Julie, thanks for the information about the Granola but on think you have not mentioned is what type of oil been used if any of these products has sunflower oil, palm oil or granola oil it can cause information.
*inflammation khadijah
And what about Lidl & Coop no added sugar Muesli? Those are what I use.
Which gluten free granolas and mueslis would you recommend?
Did you look at the granolas from NibsEtc? They are made with sustainability in mind.
Thanks. I’ve chosen some of these brands in the past so it’s good to see I like the good stuff.
Thank you for imformation
Many thanks for this. It would be great if this kind of research could be added into the app for future reference.
Very helpful and I love the Yuka app. I have shared it with friends and family
Thank you so much for the info. So many bad additives in what we eat, so helpful to be able to check it all out.
Thanks so much for this analysis. I was surprised there were no organic products in the selection. I usually assemble my own from mainly organic ingredients, except the super expensive organic ones like nuts.
Many thanks for this information, it’s certainly helped me sorting out the good from the bad
Thank you
App is very useful
Thanks for this. I usually shop at Tesco’s, so I’ll get that one too. I generally add a little more fruit, raisins prunes or apricots, and also some of Tesco’s powders, such as hemp, Spirilina and Maca. Don’t need much of any, then a couple blobs of yoghurt!
Thank you
Are they high in sugar tho’ as I’m diabetic
I
Love the app
Hi, how come they all have exactly the same rating ‘Excellent – 90/100’ ? This doesn’t give me and idea which one to choose?
Thank you. These will make a change from yoghurt, seeds, nuts and Blueberries every day. I’ll try the Tesco one first.
Be aware – Tesco’s one has added sugar in the form of honey!
Great useful information to help shop healthier.
Thank you. I really appreciate your excellent work and commitment to good health.
I would love more information on cleaning products for the home. Dishwasher and laundry tablets/sheets.
Great…
If they are all Excellent 90/100 what metric did you use to rate them 1 to 10?
Thank you
Wish you would specify organic or not
Thank you. Very helpful.
How do you rate Waitrose’s Duchy Original Organic Muesli with nuts and raisons?
Sorry, meant to say I can do oats but I find M&S high protein crunch cocoa good👍
I can’t do oats, so I have high protein cocoa crunch from M&S👍 high fibre protein and low in sugar 👍
Why no mention of Aldi really nutty muesli you rate 90/100? It’s cheaper!
Thank you so much for your valuable information. I think you are doing a great job. So pleased I joined you.
I thought Bio and Me Super Seedy or their Low sugar Granolas would be the best due to the fact it is the only granola to use olive oil instead of sunflower/rapeseed oils!
Oats are an ingredient which should be organic. Non organic oats are often sprayed with glycosphate. Waitrose duchy organic Raisin and Almond Muesli is also rated 90/100 excellent on the app so why is it not on your list? It should be number 1. This is what I eat.
Apologies Julie not Jane!
All these will contain Glysophate, do you know of any organic ones?
Hi I buy Organic Porridge Oats Kavanagh’s the are 100/100 on the app. The are not expensive and they are really creamy 👌🏻
Hi, Alara do an organic muesli and they don’t use seed oils or add any sugar to it, it’s really nice but I’ve only ever been able to buy it from Ocado I’ve never seen it in the supermarkets
I have grape tree muesli and naked ginger
Thank you for this information.
Most helpful.
I loved your suggestions, but as a person with a long term medical condition the amount of sugar in my cereal must be below 8 grams of sugar per hundred grams, is there anything like this ? However, this must include a reduced amount of carbs per hundred grams, is there anything like this on the market? Please let me know
I would recommend Bio & Me (blue one) Low Sugar Granola which has 4.2g sugar per 100g. Number one in the list (Cocoa & Hazelnut) has 9.9g per 100g, so not sure why this isn’t Number 1.
Lizi’s is low sugar nor sure about carbs
Some of these are surprisingly high in sugar. Allen no added sugar having18 grams per hundred grams. Lizi’s is the only one I would consider low sugar.
Alpen sorry.
I’ve been using Lizzi’s low sugar granola for years and haven’t found another that’s as good for the cost. Add in some Linwoods Milled Flaxseed, Sunflower, Pumpkin & Chia Seeds and Naturya super berries and it’s a perfect blend of taste, mega boost of nutrients and keeps me full all morning!
Thank you for all of the information, very helpful, I love Alpen but now will try the others where available. 🙂
Are there any decent gluten free granolas? None of these would be suitable for someone who doesn’t eat gluten.
Bio and Me Gluten free granola!
What about Jordans Nutty Granola? Please tell me it’s good for you because it’s what I get up for each morning! 😬😬
Not included was Waitrose Nutty Muesli which you awarded 100/100 and an excellent rating. Any particular reason for this?
Oats are an ingredient which should be organic. Non organic oats are often sprayed with glycosphate. Waitrose duchy organic Raisin and Almond Muesli is also rated 90/100 excellent on the app so why is it not on your list? It should be number 1. This is what I eat.
I think it’s because it’s not accessible for everyone, I live up north and there isn’t a Waitrose up here which is such a shame so I wouldn’t be able to buy it unfortunately, where as all the other options listed are available for everyone in the main supermarkets
This was very helpful and much appreciated. This has saved me time scanning each packet to see which one is the healthiest.
Is there any way of knowing which, if any are free of pesticide spray?
Thank you, these are really good to know!
I love my granola in the mornings!
Have used YUKA app for considerable time.. Brilliant system.. Use it whenever I visit a supermarket and helps to avoid buying tempting but poor quality products… Well done !
Thank you very much very interesting
Cant eat nut and thing that has got only fibre in them and fruit any suggestions would be appreciated
Thank you Julie, very helpful information.
Absolutely love yukka app I’d be lost without it
Great to get this information love Yuka 😄
What about gluten free cereals, low carb and low sugar? I am coeliac
Yes all good but Instead Prof Spector advocated a far simpler approach to breakfast – with Greek yogurt, kefir and berries.
The best ones are by Alnatura, and you can get them in the UK via Piccantino,
I use my Yuka app every time I am in the supermarket, it’s very useful. But I wonder why the muesli with honey and sugar are rated so highly? I would prefer no added sugars and usually Yuka would rate these more critically.
You didn’t review a muesli by Daylesford.
Theirs is organic, has no honey or sweetener and doesn’t contain raisins. Perfect for anyone trying not to eat sugar.
If I’m going to eat it every day I want it to taste nice and some of the main ones on the market are bland. I did my own granola/muesli testing and found the best for taste and nutrition was Sainsbury’s own which comes in three varieties – nutty, fruity and fruit and nut. If you’re trying to get to 30 plants a week the nutty one (84% score ) contains 14.
How come HEK293 is overlooked/ignored?
Kelloggs, Alpen …
Thanks so much Jane! Good information to help make decision. Good job, love your app❤️
HEK293 – had to look this up! Human Embryo Kidney cells in the food chain, is this for real?!
Allegedly only used in testing for additives. I sincerely hope the food industry aren’t doing something so whole unethical!
Good to know results, keep up the good work. Love the Alpen, now with 30% more fruit. Thanks.
Thanks for information. Helpful. But I need to know what’s are any other f these gluten free ? Thanks
Thank you very much… very helpful
Great information, thank you so much
Are any of these gluten free?
Great
Great update very useful thanks
Thank you ,so helpful..
Thank you very helpful
Alara Organic Fruits & Seeds Muesli at Sainsburys rates 100%… surely this deserves a place on your table?
Thank you – very helpful
Thank you very helpful.
Helpful.
What about Elizabeth’s?
Thats great. Thank you Julie
