TOP 10 Peanut Butters 🇺🇲

September’s here, and nothing beats a protein-packed bite 🥜

Peanut butter isn’t just comfort food — it’s a powerhouse snack that upgrades smoothies, toast, and everything in between. With plenty of protein and rich flavor, it’s a classic that sticks.

Real peanut butter is meant to be simple — just peanuts. But here’s the scoop: many popular brands sneak in added sugars, oils, and unnecessary additives.

To help you spread smarter, we’ve rounded up 10 of the best-rated peanut butters on Yuka. Simple, made with ingredients you can trust. Peanut better, one spoonful at a time. 😉

It would add to the rating if you specified whether it comes packaged in plastic or glass. I only buy peanut butter and oils packaged in glass to ensure no plastic leakage into the food. Trader Joe’s uses plastic, don’t buy it.

I agree that we need to buy products with healthy ingredients and as few ingredients as possible, but they also need to be sold in glass containers. I will no longer buy peanut butter in a plastic container. I pretty much don’t use your app anymore because I have found that things that I deem unhealthy you still give a green light to. When we know better we should do better and we now know better. Please stop giving high ratings to products with seed oils and that are sold in plastic containers.

Will y’all be able to do a list for almond butter soon? My home we’re a peanut free; my daughter is allergic to peanuts.

It would be extremely helpful to me as your consumer to see consistency in the descriptions and for you to cite distinguishing characteristics of the products that resulted in different points being assigned. In this particular blog, all the products appear to have the almost the same ingredients (some have no salt). Some products reflect other characteristics such as nonGMO, organic, or Kosher. Do these affect the points assigned? What other factors cause the differing points?

I have been enjoying the Smuckers one for several years. It’s a great value. It is a little gritty but I like it. I also use it in Pad Thai and other Asian dishes with peanut sauce. Tip: store it upside down.

I don’t get it? They’re all organic peanuts with nothing but salt. How can the rating spread be 85-94? Is salt bad for you now? Lose credibility with this type of actions. Looks like opinions vs facts to me. Typical media mistake

We’ve been eating natural pb for a very long time. Smuckers or Teddy, generally; with salt. We lived overseas for 3 years and when people would visit from the States they would bring us Smuckers. We could not get decent pb in BE.

I’m so happy my daughter introduced me to this app. There are sometimes I’m happy to see what you show me and then sometimes I get upset because you’re always using something that you used to and then you find out it’s not good for you but I give this at five stars every time I go to the grocery store I try to use it diligently. Keep doing what you’re doing because it helps a lot of us. I wish this was around when I first started my weight loss journey.

I absolutely love peanut butter! But I gave up eating it as well as peanuts in general. That was one of the best decisions I’ve made because that along with watching daily calories has helped me drop a lot of weight this summer. Peanuts are just too high in calories for regular consumption.

That being said any time I smell someone eating peanut butter in the house, OH the temptation!! 😂

    But I won’t bend.

I’ve actually grown fond of dunking my celery in just a small amount of red vinegar with just the tiniest tiniest amount of garlic added. It’s actually not too bad. Won’t say it’s great. 😂 but not too bad.

      2. Susan

When I was a Brownie Girl Scout in the 1950’s we learned to make Bumps on a Log. Celery, peanut butter and raisins on top. Kids still think it’s fun.

We buy organic, often with salt, always chunky! “Crazy Richard’s 100% Peanuts! Crunchy” and the Kroger brand, ” Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter” with 130ml sodium per serving. So, we’re curious-why no crunchy on your list? Hey, we love Yuka!
