Top 10 Body Washes 🇦🇺

Choosing a body wash that’s good for your skin and kinder to the planet might seem simple, but it’s not always easy.

We are using Cetaphil body wash that rates 100% in the Yuka app. I was surprised it didn’t make your top 10 body washes. Perhaps there was a reason for this? We love your app and have used it to gradually replace a lot of our household products. We look forward to the day when perhaps you are able to expand into other areas such as cleaning products, over the counter medication ointments etc. We are very keen to keep our bodies safe from potential toxins. Thank you for the work you’re doing.

      Hi, Joanne!

Thank you so much for your lovely message and for supporting Yuka! 💚 We’re so happy to hear that the app has helped you make changes to your everyday products!

Our Top 10 lists are not exhaustive, so a product can have an excellent rating without necessarily appearing in the selection. That doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it!

As for cleaning products and medications, we don’t currently have plans to expand into those categories, as doing so would require experts in those fields and additional scientific research into the ingredients used. But thank you for the suggestion! I’ll be sure to share it with our team.

And thank you again for your kind words and encouragement. 🥰

      Hi Dallas,

Our Top 10 lists feature a selection of the highest-rated products in our database, but they don’t necessarily include every product with an excellent score. To avoid favoring particular brands, our algorithm randomly selects products from among the highest-rated options.

If you’re curious about Sukin or OC Naturals, you can simply scan their products with the Yuka app to discover their ratings and ingredient analyses!

All good brands, particularly EcoStore and Thank You. Also a few unexpected ones, good to know! For anyone with highly reactive skin (for me – my face, not my body), I can use MooGoo products on my body, but not my face. I have reacted severely to some of their facial skincare products. Their shampoo and/or conditioner makes my face go bright red & hot – I switched to EcoStore Baby Shampoo & Body Wash, the run-off doesn’t affect my face. La Roche-Posay seems to be the gold standard for severe skin issues, it’s the only moisturiser that doesn’t react on my face.

I was having a very itchy face and inflamed face and I put it down to different creams that I’ve used and it came down to Magoo shampoo so I have stopped using it. Before I finished it, I did make sure that I got all the shampoo off my face which I think has also added to the itch so make sure you rinse it off your face as much as possible.

    2. Kimmi

Yes I agree. My skin reacts to the MooGoo products unfortunately. I have found the Eco-store body wash to be fantastic and the La Roche-Posay face moisturiser is great too! No stinging or redness! 🤗

Another Moo Goo fan here, discovered Moo Goo nearly 20 years ago, way before I discovered Yuka. I’m also a big Yuka fan – especially for showing additives in food.

I use Moo Goo shampoo (which is designed as much for scalp skin as hair) as shampoo and as a body wash. Scores 100/100 excellent from Yuka.

Initially used as shampoo for child with sensitive skin, who often scratched scalp (and no nits etc), recommended Moo Goo by friend. Didn’t initially notice a difference, but good price for product with no nasties, smelt nice (coconut), no reaction, so continued to use. A few months later child had completely stopped scratching his head, with no other changes.

I didn’t use Moo Goo body wash, because it consistently left a bath ring. Shampoo rinsed well, moisturising on skin, lathers well (makes bubbles in bath if pour under tap), can use for shaving etc.

Also less things to take for travel. I dispense into a cleaned plastic screw top squeeze sauce/ mustard bottle to ensure no leaks in transit.

Thanks Moo Goo and Yuka. Hope this may be helpful to someone out there.

Thank you for that information. Lately i have been using Moo Goo baby wash and have found that quite nice, but as i’m GF i have to be careful. one i bought the other day is Moo Goo Ultra Gentle. (I am also Dairy Free). I will look into no: 10, and i did check Dove sensitive, but i think that may have Lauryl Solvate and that’s bad for my skin. I check products every time i shop at Coles. This Yuka Testing has been a blessing and i tell as many as i can.

l take Yuka with me when l go to supermarket and tend to put back 92% of all l pick up which is so depressing being 87yrs l think of what is being given as food to our young children and majority of mothers have no idea what they are serving their families
Thank you for Yuka but who is going to stand up against this crime in food
When is Australia going to be allowed to continue to poisen our food.
