TOP 10 Deodorants 🇨🇦

Your deodorant is often the first thing put to the test during long days and busy routines.

Daily activities can quickly lead to odor and discomfort. A good deodorant doesn’t just mask smells: it helps keep you fresh while respecting your skin.

But ingredient quality really matters, especially for products you use every day. Some deodorants still rely on aluminum salts or harmful ingredients like BHT. And because they’re applied directly to the skin, on a particularly sensitive area like the underarms, it’s worth paying close attention to what you’re using.

To make things easier, we’ve rounded up the top 10 deodorants on Yuka. These solid stick formulas are all free from high-risk ingredients, so you can stay fresh with confidence.

I’m in Canada. Green Beaver sounds good, but is it really organic? The vast majority of food in this country labelled “organic” is anything but. The government here could not care less, unlike the recently new USDA implementation south of the border. So, I buy my organic food from the U.S.A..

This is awsome you did this but most goopy deodorants still do not let your lymph system detoxify. Husband wares the beaver one. He works in a hot steak house kitchen but does not sweat. He’s still trapping the poison in his lymph system. I will always use my salt crystal stick. I give 2 shits I am wet. The salt kills the bacteria that creates the smell.

    2
    Reply
    1. Lucy

I started buying the salt crystal years ago in Bulk Barn and have used it daily ever since. Oddly enough, the other day I was looking at deodorants and came across one by Fomin Whole Body Deodorant. Cucumber Aloe. Free from Bak. Soda, Parabens & Dyes. Yuka had it as Unknown so a I google search rated it very well so I decided to buy it ($7.99 but around $18 online) although the salt does prevent odour and I think is safest and best. Today I submitted Fomin to Yuka for an assessment just to see. All this breast & lymphatic cancer occurring makes me question the use of products such as antiperspirants, deodorants. body washes, laundry soaps, etc.

Every man jack foams up like a white cream and will get all over your clothes. If you wipe off the foamed up stuff it leaves nothing behind. It smells good and has no harmful chemicals but there is a trade off

I’ve been using Schmidts for a couple years now. Some days it works great, and others not so much. Depends on how I’m working, especially here on the farm. Grateful for the info, and thank you.

Being Canadian. I tried Tanit deodorant. The Zulu scent is very nice and I hope it will get me through the summer. I will try other Canadian suggestions as long as packaging is not plastic

    Hi Julia
Just wondering why No Pong didn’t make it to the top 10 ? Is it because it is a cream application and not a stick/ roll on? Rated 94/ 100 on Yuka and made in Canada

I think you should include the deodorants offered by Young Living – plant based products!

I’m so happy that my favorite brands (Humble and Schmidt’s) made this list! They have been my go to brands for years and they have never disappointed me. They have clean ingredients, they keep me odor free and they smell so good.

I’m using SUGANDH Natural Deodorant Cream from LAKSHMI, I get it from Italy, and since 2004 I haven’t got any Rashes, Allergies, Irritation, Discoloration or Pimples… and 1-30ml/1oz little container last me for more than 6 months. The score is 88/100 according to Yuka, not what I expected considering that is organic, but I had tried many other deodorants prior of 2004 and I always experienced some kind of irritation, not with this one.

Thank you for this review. I find that big name commercial deodorants irritate and cause itching, so I tried Schmidt’s and it works brilliantly with absolutely zero irritation. Currently I use the lemon scented option.

Good aftenoon Julie I beg to differ that Toms of Maine deodarent is that high of rating of 93/100 as of today. The Yuka app scanned this product 4 years ago at 84/100. The company ownership has changed hands and this product is no longer rated over 10 or 13/100, I cant quite remember and have three brand new Toms deoderant at home that I wil scan this evening. After using the Toms deodorant three day or more, you will have a really nice red rash under both arm pits I assure you. They definatly added the aluminum back in the ingredients amopng many other bad ingredients. There is ONLY one Toms manufacture today, not two. Everyman Jack is a great product and used it as well, some scents even have a higher rating than 87/100. Cheers and thanks for your time!

Sorry but I’m never buying Green Beaver nor am I paying over $10 for deodorant. It’s ridiculous that we have to pay almost double to buy healthy products. I’ll stick with my antidepressants because they’re the only ones that work. Every Man Jack is way better than Green Beaver but deodorant alone doesn’t work. Green Beaver is such a ripoff, ripping off Canadians with their ridiculous prices

I appreciate the work you do, and use your app often.
But especially with a product like deodorant, my decision hinges on two important factors:
    1. Does it work???
    2. Will it stain clothing?

Have you tested Beauty From Bees deodorant? I’ve been using with HUGE success. Like you don’t smell when you use it. It is not an antiperspirant so of you sweat you’ll have to reapply. Thing i don’t like about it is its not in a stick.

I usually use Jason – did this not make the cut? Presently using Beaver as the price for Jason went up. I am really surprised to see Nivea and Dove on this list! I don’t think I could trust them even if someone tested them. I generally don’t try others unless someone I know can vouch that the brand does not stain my clothes, I had a few bad experiences in this regard, particularly with Attitude.

I get that you focus on the ingredients, which is good, but when it comes to the point where the product isn’t actually effective it negates my belief in it.Some of us actually work very hard physically what’s the point of even buying it?I work in construction and none of the above would do the job I would end up smelling like a giant armpit

I agree. I work out and a lot these don’t hold up to my expectations. I’ve tired 3 of them listed and sure if I’m sitting in a coffeehouse but not if I’m dancing or at the gym. Hmmm…🧐 now I’m thinking that may be the issue at the gym.
