Looking for a simple and scrumptious snack? 🥜 These Peanut Butter Bites are not just delicious, but they’re like tiny energy bombs that’ll keep you going. Perfect for those moments when you need a quick pick-me-up, and way better than reaching for that candy bar. Once you make these, you might find it hard to stop! 😅

IngredientsMakes 10-12 bites

  • 1 cup unsalted peanut butter (about 8.5 oz / 240 g)
  • ½ cup rolled oats (about 1.6 oz / 45 g)
  • ¼ cup chia seeds or ground flaxseed (about 1.4 oz / 40 g)
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate, you can use chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (about 1.4 oz / 40 g)
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

1

In a medium bowl, mix peanut butter and maple syrup until combined.

3

Using clean hands, roll the mixture into small 1 inch balls. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes:

  • If the mixture feels too sticky, then you can add a bit more oats, chia seeds or flaxseed until you get the consistency you like.
  • Feel free to omit the maple syrup to reduce sugar content.
  • Store any extra bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Bon appétit and enjoy! 🥰☀️

Does it matter if you use quick oats or old-fashioned oats in this recipe?

With my ingredients I made 39 balls (approx 10g each) The barcodes off the ingredients packets were scanned with the MyFitnessPal app and the macros per ball were as follows
    Calorie’s 53
    Carbs 2.9g
    Fat 3.9g
    Protien 2.1g

I might add some vanilla protein powder next time for a small added boost.
